County Fund News

The County has a fund which can be accessed by any member of Gloucestershire Scouting in need of genuine financial help. Put simply - the fund is there to allow individuals to take part in Scouting which they would otherwise be unable to do because of a lack of money.

Typical examples would be uniform for a new recruit, event or camping fees, training courses (badge weekends or skills training not provided free by the County) or essential equipment to allow an activity to be undertaken safely. The fund is available to all members and adult supporters (uniformed or not) in any role.

To apply a letter/email should be sent to me with the support of the relevant Group Scout Leader / Commissioner. Leaders can apply on behalf of others. The letter must state:

  • What the requirement is,

  • The level of support required,

  • Why it is needed

  • Who any grant cheque should be made payable to.

All applications are kept confidential between me and the County treasurer and are only reported on by value, not recipient. email to homesidehall@aol.com
