Working with a local Health & Safety approved training organisation, a ‘First Response Plus’ course has been developed, offering participants a course that will meet the needs of leaders in all sections working with young people throughout Gloucestershire.

The First Response Plus Course

The course is delivered in an enthusiastic and fun way incorporating the latest techniques in casualty simulation. Participants will leave the course with an in-depth understanding of first aid and an increased level of confidence to deal with any first aid situation.

Who should attend?

All Scout Association Leaders and Section helpers.
The First Response Plus course also covers the syllabus for Module K of the Young Leader Training Scheme
All warranted adults are required to hold a current First Aid certificate. The minimum standard for First Aid training is ‘First Response’ a course specifically designed for adult leaders working within The Scout Association.

What will we learn?

You will gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to manage any first aid situation, by applying common sense. You will also learn how to treat a casualty who had become injured or ill.
You will also learn ideas to be able to add first aid to your programme with confidence.
Most importantly you will have FUN.

CPR for Children	Choking
Shock	Wounds and Bleeding
Unconsciousness	Recovery position
Burns & Scalds	Fractures
