The team of adult helpers and leaders that run Scouting across the county are all volunteers.  They come from many backgrounds, but all offer their time and bring a wide range of skills to the sections they work with.

To enable our adult leaders to develop their own skills and to support them in the work they do the Scout Association provides a high quality, nationally recognised, training programme and local support is always on hand.

The Scout Association also has a stringent and vigorous child protection policy.  All adults working in any capacity within the organisation are vetted though the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Associations internal checking procedures.

If you would like to help young people get the most out of live and join in the fun of Scouting then call the Scout Association's Information Service on 0845 3001818 or call in to your local Scout Group for a chat.
